St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1711), a catholic theologian says: "Government is about the people."

On his part, ex-Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State notes: "It is not what you say that you have done that is important in a democracy. It is what the people say you have done and they benefit from." (NTA January 25, 2016).

Also, the Holy Bible prescribes: "Say the truth because only the truth and nothing but the truth shall set you free."

Despite the hate PDP propaganda towards the central APC administration that it does not dispense favourable democratic dividends to Edo citizen out of malice, the contrary is the case.

For instance, below are some gainful, beneficial and people-centred programmes and projects of the APC government in Edo-State. Indeed; there is federal presence and favours in Edo.

The Federal Government delivered 30 trucks with 18,000 bags of fertilizers to Edo State to enhance their food production in the 2024 farming season as disclosed by Mr. Bako Dogwo, the state chairman of All Farmers Association Of Nigeria.

Dogwo explained that the Federal Government also paid over 80 percent of the fertilizers' cost, thus leaving the balance to be defrayeed by the farmers association.

Furthermore, he revealed that the Federal Government has also approved another batch of fertilizers as well as chemicals and farm inputs like cassava stems and seedlings of maize, rice and others for later delivery to Edo farmers during the 2024 planting season.(NAN July 23, 2024).

The PDP Government of Governor Godwin Obaseki received 20 trucks of rice from the Federal Government in Abuja for distribution to the poor and vulnerable persons in the state. The grant is a part of the central APC administration's effort to ameliorate the economic hardship of the people caused by the removal of oil subsidy.

The federal government empowered 500 tomato small-scale holder farmers in Edo State with the improved seedlings of the fruits. According to the federal ministry of agriculture, food security and rural development, the initiative will not only increase the output of tomato but it will also reduce their spoilage after harvest. Thus, the incomes of the farmers, livelihoods as well as the food security of tomato is guaranteed (Punch August 8, 2024)

Youths and women numbering 922 were given cash transfers by the federal government-backed Nigeria Community Action For Resilience And Economic Stimulus (NG-CARES) Project.

Mrs Adesuwa Agbonavbare, the training and communication officer of the body explained that the initiative supports poor, vulnerable households to minimise their economic adversities as well as improve their consumption.

She added: "The grant will enable beneficiaries to purchase the required tools and equipment for their trades as well as improve their livelihoods in a sustainable way." (BENDEL Mirror, September 4, 2024).

Briefly, these are some of the APC Government's programmes and projects in Edo State initiated alone and; or in partnership with multilateral organizations to empower-Edo indigenes under the PDP administration of Godwin Obaseki that adopts a sustained deliberate policy of direct confrontation and belligerence to the friendly APC administration.

Being still faithful in "little" things to a hostile PDP government in Edo implies that if an APC administration is voted into office on September 21, 2024 much more dividends of democracy will flow into Edo State under a peaceful, friendly and rancour-free development environment.

So, the way out? Vote for the ticket of Senator Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa set to free Edo people from the Nebuchadnezzar rule of eight years of zero ALAGHODARO that benefitted only Governor Godwin Obaseki, Asue Ìghodalo and Osarodion Ogie as well as their neo neo-liberal capitalists henchmen.
