Isoko, Delta – Delta State's Isoko South Local Government Area has announced that primary school teachers who reject postings to assigned locations, especially in riverine areas, will be dismissed from service.

During a courtesy visit by Concerned Indigenes of Ikpide-Irri 4-Development (CIID) to his Oleh office, Isoko South Council Chairman Friday Ovoke Warri delivered a firm message, stating, "It's no longer business as usual."

He said, “Any teacher posted to Ikpide-irri community or anywhere in the local government area and refused to go and resume duty and stay will be shown the way out. If you refused to report and stay there to work, just park your loads and leave the job is as simple as that."

The council boss stated that health care delivery, agriculture, education and security among other sectors are the focal points of his administration and will be taken very seriously.

He said, "As a child when growing up, there used to be what we called dispensary in the villages where people are taken to for treatment before going to the hospitals in the city.

“As a government, we shall look into this and see how we can come to the aid of my beloved people of Ikpide-irri community," he added.
