64th Independence Anniversary: 'Be good ambassadors of Nigeria' - Lion District 404-A4 Governor Tasks Children

Benin, Edo - Children have been enjoined to shun negative vices which would bring ridicule to their families and nation at large, and result in the derailment of their progress towards attaining bright prospects in life.
Making this admonition today at the party organized to commemorate the 64th Independence Day celebration of Nigeria, facilitated by the District 404-A4 of Lions International in collaboration with the Benin Recreation Club(BRC) at the club's event ground situated at Ikpokpan in GRA Benin City, Lion Prince Osadebamwen Monday Okoro, District Governor, D404-A4, enjoined Children drawn from various walks of life to remain obedient, focused and steadfast in their academic pursuits as well as to honour their parents and caregivers.
"To attain greatness, you must be obedient and focused, to both your parents, caregivers and teachers. You must not be distracted by activities that will not help you attain great heights and you must not engage in activities that will bring opprobium or disgrace to your families and nation at large. For now, you must prioritize your education." the District Governor emphasized.
The event witnessed children engaged with members of the Lions International in various fulfilled activities, including games and dance competitions with mascots and other cartoon characters.
Winners coveted several juicy gift packages.
Lion Clubs under the District were in attendance at the event and members described the outing as a community-driven initiative which demonstrates Lions International commitment to empowering Nigeria's future leaders.
