Environmental Sanitation: Why we okay free movement for Saturday – Delta govt

Asaba, Delta – The Delta State Government has permitted free movement of persons and vehicles during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise taking place tomorrow, Saturday September 28.
According to a statement signed by a director in the State Ministry of Information, Theresa Adabua Oliko, the no - restriction of movement, is on account of the resit Basic Education Certificate Examination, (BECE) taking place tomorrow across the state.
The statement, advised residents of the state to cut overgrown weeds, desilt their drainages and keep their environment clean, to prevent the spread diseases.
Whilst noting that it is the responsibility of every resident to clear 20 meters radius of their premises, the statement added: " Officials of the Delta State Waste Management Board, Local Government Councils and other relevant authorities, will evacuate the resultant refuse to the approved government dump sites."
