SAN awards scholarship to kindergarten in Edo

Benin, Edo – Olayiwola Afolabi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, has awarded scholarship from KG-2 to university level to little Chinyere as part of activities to mark his 63rd birthday celebration in Benin City on April 5,2025.
The event climaxed several events that preceded it which included donations of food, bible and N20, 000 each to three welders and three nurses who won his radio- call competition moderated by Independent Radio, Benin.
To kick-start the birthday celebration, a guard of honour was mounted by the men of Edo State Traffic Management Agency (EDSTMA).
This was followed by a gospel choir ministration of angelic Deeper Life Bible Church, Benin led by Olayiwola Afolabi the celebrant.
Invariably, the celebration opened with a mix of entertaining secular and spiritual performances watched by guests which included Senior Advocates of Nigeria, community leaders from the yoruba ethnic group, Jagbe Town as well as other important dignitaries.
Chairman of the well-attended birthday celebration was Hon Pascal Ugbome the eminent lawyer and politician from Edo North.
Throughout the event, he and all the people gathered for the events wore pleasant expressive looks of admiration for Afolabi while solidarity songs by lawyers and his Yoruba community were rendered in mellifluous tunes.
This was later spiced with his orikis which poured forth from the mouths of other guests in attendance.
For instance, he was called: "A friend of FIDA. A trail blazer. Very easily accessible. A humble, caring person. A man filled with the milk of human kindness. A cheerful giver. A philanthropist to the core. A true friend. A great brother of no mean value. A good man."
Too true, Afolabi harvested lots of heartfelt encomiums on this day.
Another major highlight of the occasion was the donation of 5 wigs and gowns to beneficiaries nominated by his legal colleagues after thorough scrutiny for excellence and merit.
As a fitting end to his birthday celebration, Olayiwola Afolabi noted with philosophical insight that life has taught him a lesson. It is the wisdom of making friends and keeping them. Because in Life, money is not everything. But friends are. They help you in time of need.
Indeed, the friends you have bring you joy, support and can make you a millionaire as well do much more for you, Afolabi stated in elation surrounded by the outpouring divine amalgam of the voluminous love emitted by his guests.
