In a heartfelt appeal that has captured the attention of social media, Nigerian youth and advocates are urging football superstar Victor Osimhen to lend his support to the "Tech Access Project," an initiative aimed at empowering 10,000 young Nigerians with laptops and digital skills.

‎The call to action, spearheaded by Olumayowa Epenusi (@OEpenusi) in a widely shared post on X November 7, 2025, highlights the growing digital divide and the transformative potential of technology for Nigeria's youth.

‎Epenusi’s post, which quotes an earlier open letter from Ayilola Ayotomiwa (@silverpenydr‎), praises Osimhen’s inspiring journey from the streets of Lagos to global football stardom, drawing parallels between his rise and the aspirations of countless young Nigerians.

‎"We know your value in the street and we commend your effort as to what you have brought to the face of the struggling youth is nothing short of joy and happiness," Epenusi wrote.

‎The appeal emphasizes that Osimhen’s involvement could "write your name in gold in the hearts of many Nigerian youth" by helping bridge the digital gap through the provision of 10,000 laptops.

‎The initiative, launched by Ayilola, seeks to equip young Nigerians with tools for tech, design, remote work, and innovation, positioning it as a stepping stone to global opportunities.

‎Epenusi’s message, while not compelling, carries a tone of sincerity, noting, "Regardless of the feedback either positive or a mute, we will always love you and to us you will always be the best number 9 in the world of soccer."

‎The appeal comes on the heels of music producer Don Jazzy’s recent pledge of N20 million to the Tech Access Project, as reported by TV360 Nigeria on November 7, 2025. This financial boost has fueled optimism, with many hoping Osimhen, known for his philanthropy in grassroots football, might follow suit.

‎The initiative aligns with ongoing efforts to address Nigeria’s digital divide, as outlined in a recent Wikipedia update (February 18, 2025), which highlights collaborations with tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Intel.

‎Whether Osimhen responds with financial support, advocacy, or a partnership, the movement underscores a collective push to empower Nigeria’s youth through technology, a cause that resonates deeply with the nation’s aspirations.
