Awka, Anambra – The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, incumbent Governor Chukwuma Soludo, is solidifying his grip on the Anambra State governorship election, leading in 19 of the 21 local government areas declared so far.

As the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues collating results from the 5,718 polling units, Soludo’s strong performance signals a potential repeat victory.

Early returns, including a resounding win in his home polling unit in Isuofia (Aguata LGA), have bolstered Soludo’s campaign, with analysts attributing his lead to effective grassroots mobilization and his record as governor.

The latest updates received by DAILY SOUTH NIGERIA, show APGA maintaining a significant margin over rivals from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC).

With only two local government areas remaining to be declared, INEC officials are working to finalize the collation process amid tight security. Party agents and observers are closely monitoring the proceedings, with a final result expected later today.

Soludo’s dominance underscores his growing influence in the state’s political landscape.
