Adeleke presents N705.79bn 2026 budget of economic transformation

Osogbo, Osun – Governor Ademola Adeleke on Wednesday laid before the Osun State House of Assembly a N705.794 billion appropriation bill for 2026, tagged the “Budget of Economic Transformation.”
Describing it as a roadmap for sustainable growth and improved welfare, the governor said the budget aims to build a diversified, resilient economy anchored on the state’s 2023–2050 Development Plan.
Key revenue projections include N221.68bn from FAAC, N199.57bn from independent sources, and N268.35bn from other receipts.
Recurrent expenditure is pegged at N317.41bn (45%), with N135bn for personnel and N182.41bn for overheads.
Capital expenditure takes the lion’s share at N388.38bn (55%), targeting completion of ongoing projects and new initiatives.
Speaker Adewale Egbedun praised the administration’s implementation of prior budgets and pledged thorough legislative scrutiny to align allocations with public interest.
The Assembly has received the bill for deliberation.
