Abeokuta, Ogun – Aare Tolu Bankole, the National Leader for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has donated One Million Naira (₦1,000,000) to the Ogun State Chapter of the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD).

The donation was announced on January 6, 2026, during a stakeholders’ meeting at the JONAPWD Centre in Abeokuta.

The gathering included members of the Ogun JONAPWD Executive Council, cluster chairmen, representatives, and selected cluster members.

The funds are intended to support JONAPWD's ongoing programs in Ogun State, including advocacy efforts, skill acquisition training, provision of assistive devices, and other empowerment initiatives for persons with disabilities.

Bankole, a prominent APC chieftain and member of the party's National Working Committee, reaffirmed his commitment to disability inclusion and empowerment through this gesture.

He has a history of advocating for PWD rights, including calls for free education and healthcare, as well as greater political representation for persons with disabilities in Nigeria.

This donation comes as part of Bankole's continued support for disability communities, following previous contributions such as sponsorship of renovations at the JONAPWD Centre in Ogun State.

JONAPWD, the umbrella body for persons with disabilities in Nigeria, has welcomed the support, highlighting its importance in advancing inclusion and development at the state level.
