From the inception of Bendel and Edo state, every government and Governor has had reasons to locate strategic projects in areas of rural interests and with the ultimate intentions of using such to catalyze economy Openings of such areas in particular and also by extension repositioning the state economy in Equilibrium of social development.

‎Unfortunately, many times, these gestures of the respective government never get realised without the criticism of some pessimistic political opposition people, regular parochialism laced thinkers and acute faults finders all enveloped in the ignorance of time, planning and future.

‎From the creation of Auchi Polytechnic that was moved from Igbetuo Avenue Benin City site to Auchi in Etsako west LGA, Ambrose Ali University that was established in the remote Ekpoma of then, to the Bendel Feeds and flour mill that was chosen instead of Koko near Warri to be out in Ewu near Irrua, to the siting of Edo University Iyamoh by Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomole and now the ultra modern town hall/Event centre constructed in Udomi in Esan central local government area of Edo state by the Governor Monday Okpebholo led administration.

‎Criticisms in governance are welcome but on the long run the government must match it vision with a mission statement and responsibility to deliver projects with far reaching position impact in opening up the rural economy of the state.

‎Ambrose Ali was vilified, Oshiomole building university in Iyamoh was condemned on different excuses that AAU was not needed in ekpoma as long as we have University of Benin (UNIBEN) and because Ekpoma was not develop for a university to thrive in, many said Iyamoh was a village and a university is not a priority in Edo state because we had UNIBEN, AAU, Auchi Poly, COBEN and other private higher education in Edo State.

Today nkor? Iyamoh is open to housing economy, food economy, knowledge economy, transportation economy etc.

‎Imagine Udomi that is a cluster place already with a 150bed teaching hospital construction ongoing, a thriving mega farms driven by cluster of comparatives of Public Private Partnership (PPP) farmers, same location is the ongoing construction of school of nursing, and a resort is also been constructed and a road linking Udomi directly to Ugiagbe, Agbede in Etsako west local government area.

‎Make una dey think!! No be every government get project vision but lack the mission to turn it around.
