Obaseki's PDP since abandoned flood and erosion control Project

On June 24,2019 a caller into Speed FM, Benin observed that "Edo State should be called erosion and flood state"
Later, on November 15, 2019 Mr Clem Agba, the minister of budget paid a Thank You Visit to the revered Oba Ewuare II of Benin Kingdom. During it, he presented a copy of the Benin Master Plan to the monarch which revealed that indeed since Obaseki assumed office in November 12, 2016 he has not realistically continued the Benin Water Storm Project. Yet, he promised in his campaign to do so.
Then, to pretend that he is executing the project, he began to scratch the surface of the project. For instance, as PDP Governor since November 2020 the governor undertook a slow, delayed token execution of the Textile Mill Road in Benin after much public criticisms that he has discarded the erosion and flood control project of Benin initiated by Oshiomole's APC administration in 2008.
About a year to the September 21, 2024 guber election the deceptive PDP administration of Obaseki embarked on the construction of Adolor Road, Benin as well as its water storm drainage network expected to link up with Uwelu Road Project that will drain flood water into Ogba River.
Don't be deceived!! These minuscule projects do not follow the original roadmap of the Benin Water Storm Master plan. Obaseki only hand picked out his own roadmap projects that do not add significant value to the real Master plan. Yes, his PDP administration has mutilated the plan drawn up by world experts to suit his political whims and caprices.
The result? Flood and erosion have worsened in Benin Metropolis since 2016 when the APC administration left office.
Edo voters, weep no more. Dry your tears.. APC's candidates in the September 21, 2024 Governorship Election Senator Monday Okpbebholo and Hon Dennis Idahosa will revisit the abandoned Benin Water storm Master Plan so as to end flooding in Benin Metropolis.
